Christine Cloos

Her metallic sculptures are based on the representation of the Tree and, through the Tree, the Nourishing Earth.

Christine Cloos Portrait

Designer artist, Christine has her studio in Giverny (France).

She works with metal sheets: cut up, welded and assembled into low-relief (bas-relief) sculptures.

She also works with paper: collages on raw linen canvas and oil painting.

She uses metal and paper, inverting their substances: “metal is fluid, paper is heavy”, “paper becomes a living, massive and thick material, metal is balanced between emptiness and fullness, between shadows and lights”.
